40 000 Norwegians gather to sing song Breivik hates
This reminded me of The Singing Revolution… Today over 40 000 people gathered at Youngstorget in Oslo for a mass-singalong and protest against Anders Behring Breivik. The song they sang together was the Norweigan version of Pete Seeger’s “Children of the Rainbow”, a song Behring Breivik claims has been used to “brainwash Norwegian kids into supporting immigration”.
I thought this was very powerful and it shows how powerful music and song can be, and how it unites people in hard times. Check it out the video and read the article here:
